Stormwater Committee Makes Progress Report
April 9, 2007. The Town Board's Northeast Stormwater Study Committee made a report about the progress they have made toward hiring an independent consultant. The committee will receive bids until April 13, and hopes to decide upon a firm by April 20. The anticipated budget is $15,000-20,000, with a time frame of 30-50 days. There will be no field work involved in this study. The consultant will be charged with reviewing many aspects of the stormwater controversy, including:
* Geology and soil of the Northeast watershed
* Residents' stormwater and drainage concerns
* Briarwood II stormwater management plan
* Briarwood II's impact on local hydrology
We expect an update to be given at the May Town Board meeting.
We will post more details as we learn them.
