Thursday
NE Drainage Meeting 8/31
Town of Ithaca
Northeast Drainage Meeting
Date and Time: this Monday, August 31, at 7:00 PM
Location: BOCES, Room A14 of the Roy Dexheimer Building
(This is the first building in the BOCES complex on Warren
Rd.)
The Town of Ithaca has been conducting a study of drainage problems in the Northeast and has a number of proposals for the neighborhood to consider. The presentation by Town engineers will be the culmination of several years’ study of drainage-related problems in this area. It is vital that residents attend this meeting to give their feedback. In addition, the moratorium on development in the Northeast is set to expire in December. Therefore it is critical that we remind the Town to address current drainage problems in all of their facets (soil conditions, the value and function of wetlands present, and the effects of previous development) before considering any further development upstream.
Please come to the meeting to hear the proposals and to ensure the Town hears your concerns. Also pass this on to your friends and neighbors and encourage them to attend.
